Small Lidded Casket Box with Faux Rose

“Casket” is an old term for a lidded container, especially one for precious possessions and papers. Hmmm, so does that make this ceramic lidded box a Coffin Casket or even a Casket Casket?  (I’m assuming that if you’re looking at this item, you share my wacko sense of humor.) Whatever you call it, it’s wickedly sweet whether in use or as a prop. Speaking of props, that faux red rose is lightly tacked on and you can enjoy yours with or without it. Underneath that rose lies a black wood-look – down to the nail indents! – coffin shape. The slightly arched lid lifts off, and stands politely by on its two flanges, showing off a bright red interior rimmed with metallic gold.
