This ceramic Tea Can – a retro-modern teapot! – takes a classic old railroad watering can form with its sculpted handle and elongated shape and combines it with the old-timey names of Polly and Jake. It’s an homage to the Polly and Jake Antiques Store that stood for decades at the intersection of Page Mill Road and El Camino Real in Palo Alto, CA. Description

Railroad watering cans were elongated in order to fit along the side of the cars. This fun vintage shape adds the surprise of an invented brand with two old-fashioned names: Polly and Jake. it is entirely hand-formed and painted with fired-on ceramics colors and glaze. The lid is removable, the handle sturdy, the spout pours well and the interior is food-safe. Pour your libations in classic style!
